If you didn’t already know, in Newfoundland, a flake is a platform built on poles and spread with boughs for drying cod fish on the foreshore of fishing communities. Come into to our “Flake” and see several prints of traditional fish flakes filled with fish as well as some other unique items on display!

The Flake Lounge is a cozy little “watering hole” located on the lower level of Brown’s Restaurant. Food service is provided from the restaurant kitchen. We host events such as bachelor & bachelorette parties, pre wedding get togethers, birthday events and other celebrations. Whether you are looking for a place to relax with a drink, have a game of pool or darts, play the VLT’s, or watch your favourite sporting event on our big screen TV’s the Flake is the place to be. We feature live entertainment regularly making it the perfect place to go for a “scuff”!
